What People Say About Our Programs:
Welcome to Cancer Support Community Colorado!
Cancer Support Community Colorado’s mission is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. Our mission supports and complements the medical treatment of cancer. Our vision is that no one faces cancer alone.
More than 18,000 people in Colorado are diagnosed with cancer every year. Many of them experience unwanted aloneness, uncertainty and confusion, and loss of hope. Our programs help people strengthen coping skills to regain a sense of control, reduce isolation, and restore hope.
We are the Colorado affiliate of
Cancer Support Community
, an international nonprofit organization created from the merger of The Wellness Community and Gilda’s Club Worldwide. For over 45 years, these organizations have been leaders in providing services to people with cancer, survivors, caregivers, family and friends.
With Cancer Support Community Colorado’s help, people affected by cancer learn to actively cope with their cancer, take responsibility and control of their care, and make desired lifestyle changes to improve their emotional and physical wellbeing.
All of our programs are provided at no charge to the individual participants.
